What is an adjustable bed?
An adjustable bed allows you to elevate and lower your head, feet or both simultaneously to relax in the most comfortable position possible. Using the remote control you can adjust the head and foot sections of the bed. An adjustable bed consists of two parts: the base and the mattress. The mattress bends with the position of the base. Mattresses not built for this purpose should not be used with an adjustable bed base. Mattresses not built for this purpose should not be used with an adjustable bed base.

It means that the bed folds in two places thereby dividing the mattress into 3 sections: the head, the middle, and the foot section. It is also known as a two-point articulation system.
